Guest Terms

Booking and Reservation:

a. By making a booking through our ShotLetMart.com, you agree to abide by these Guest Terms.

b. The booking is confirmed once payment has been made and accepted by the property owner/manager.

c. Any changes to the booking must be communicated to the property owner/manager and agreed upon in writing.

 

Payment:

a. The total amount due for the booking, including any additional fees or taxes, will be clearly displayed during the booking process.

b. Payment methods accepted will be specified on the website.

c. Payment terms and cancellation policies will be provided by the property owner/manager.

 

Accommodation:

a. The property details provided on the website are accurate to the best of our knowledge.

b. Any specific requirements or requests should be communicated to the property owner/manager prior to booking.

c. The maximum occupancy for the accommodation must be respected, and additional guests may require prior approval and payment of additional charges.

 

Check-in and Check-out:

a. Check-in and check-out times will be specified by the property owner/manager and must be adhered to unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon.

b. Late check-in or early check-out may be subject to additional fees.

 

Rules and Conduct:

a. Guests are expected to treat the accommodation and its facilities with respect and care.

b. Any damages caused during the stay must be reported to the property owner/manager immediately, and guests may be held responsible for repair or replacement costs.

c. Guests are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness during their stay and may be subject to additional cleaning fees if the property is left excessively dirty or untidy.

 

Security Deposit:

a. A security deposit may be required by the property owner/manager and will be refunded within a specified timeframe after the stay, minus any deductions for damages or outstanding charges.

 

Service Fee:

a. We charge a service fee to guests on top of the rental fee of every booking, which 5% of the total the rental cost.

 

Cancellations and Refunds:

a. Cancellation policies and refund terms will be provided by the property owner/manager and should be reviewed before making a booking.

b. Any cancellations or changes must be communicated to the property owner/manager as soon as possible.

 

Liability and Insurance:

a. Guests are responsible for their personal safety and belongings during their stay.

b. The vacation rental booking website is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or losses that occur during the stay.

 

Privacy and Data Protection:

a. Guest information provided during the booking process will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy.

 

Disputes and Complaints:

a. Any disputes or complaints regarding the accommodation or the booking process should be directed to the property owner/manager in the first instance.

b. The vacation rental booking website will provide reasonable assistance to resolve any issues that arise.

 

By using our vacation rental booking website and making a booking, you acknowledge and agree to comply with these Guest Terms.

 

Host Terms

Listing and Availability:

a. By listing your property on ShortLetMart, you agree to abide by these Host Terms.

b. You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information about your property, including availability, pricing, and amenities.

c. You have the right to accept or decline booking requests based on your availability and other factors.

 

Booking and Reservation:

a. Once you accept a booking request, it becomes a confirmed reservation.

b. You are responsible for honouring the reservation and ensuring the accommodation is ready for the guest’s arrival.

 

Payment:

a. The payment terms, including the rental rate, additional fees, and security deposit, should be clearly communicated to the guest.

b. Payments from guests will be processed through our platform, and you will receive the funds according to the agreed-upon payout schedule.

 

Commission:

a. We charge a commission of 10% on the total booking value on each booking made though our platform. This commission covers operational costs of processing payments, customer support and ensuring that both the host and guest have a smooth and safe booking experience. 

 

Accommodation and Amenities:

a. The information provided in your listing should accurately represent the property, including its size, features, and condition.

b. The accommodation should be clean, well-maintained, and in compliance with safety standards.

c. Any specific rules, restrictions, or guidelines for the guests should be clearly communicated in advance.

 

Guest Communication:

a. Prompt and effective communication with guests is important for a smooth booking experience.

b. Respond to guest inquiries, booking requests, and messages in a timely manner.

 

Check-in and Check-out:

a. Provide clear instructions to guests regarding check-in and check-out procedures, including key exchange or access codes.

b. Ensure that the property is ready for check-in by the agreed-upon time and that check-out instructions are communicated clearly.

 

Security Deposit and Damages:

a. You may require a security deposit from guests to cover any potential damages or violations of the house rules.

b. Clearly communicate the terms and conditions regarding the security deposit and the process for deducting any necessary charges.

 

Cancellations and Refunds:

a. Establish and communicate your cancellation policy to guests.

b. If you need to cancel a confirmed reservation, make sure to provide prompt notification to the guest and offer suitable alternatives or a full refund.

 

Guest Reviews and Feedback:

Liability and Insurance:

a. It is your responsibility to have appropriate insurance coverage for your property, including liability insurance.

b. You acknowledge that the vacation rental booking website is not liable for any damages, accidents, or losses that occur during the guest’s stay.

 

Compliance with Laws and Regulations:

a. Ensure that you comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements related to vacation rentals in your area.

 

Privacy and Data Protection:

a. Handle guest information in accordance with our privacy policy and applicable data protection laws.

 

By listing your property on our vacation rental booking website, you acknowledge and agree to comply with these Host Terms.

Indemnification:

By using our website to book a vacation rental property, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless our company and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or relating to your use of our website or any violation of these terms and conditions.

b. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our website or any vacation rental property listed on our website, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using our website and booking vacation rental properties through our website.
